A local referee will travel to Spain tomorrow where he’ll be in charge of officiating a FIBA Euro Cup basketball game.

Bernard Vassallo will referee the return leg of the FIBA Euro Cup Round played in Wurzburg Arena in Salamanca between the Spanish side Avenida Salamanca and the Russian powerhouse Spartak Moscow.

The Maltese referee will shoulder most of the officiating responsibility as he’ll lead his three-man strong team made up of Can Mavisu from Turkey and Marin Ortis from France.

Vassallo is a seasoned veteran in the world of basketball officiating and has traveled abroad on many occasions to carry out his duty. Another Spanish assignment for the referee is a reflection of his consistency and reliability as an official in the basketball world.
