WIN: Summer Daze Malta Is Just Around The Corner And Here’s All You Need To Know
It’s been a long time coming, but the second edition of the Summer Daze Festival is almost here and we’re super hyped. Five days of live music featuring some of the top acts from around the world with great vibes with great friends await us, so it’s definitely going to be one for the books.
But before you head on down to get your boogie on, here are some important things to keep in mind that will help make your time at Summer Daze more comfortable and enjoyable.
1. Getting there
On the 14th and 15th of August, Ta’ Qali is going to be packed with people, so it’s important to plan ahead when it comes to making your way there. While driving there might sound easier, it definitely won’t be. Carpooling is suggested, but the best and easiest thing would definitely be to use public transport.
Buses will leave from Valletta to Ta’ Qali every hour on the hour between 5pm and 8pm. Departures from the venue to Buġibba and St Julian’s will be available at 1am and 2:15am.
Should you wish to carpool, you can park in the areas marked below, or you can arrange to be dropped off and picked up in front of the American Embassy and the temporary bus terminus.
2. Queueing
Gates to the venue will open at 4pm, with entrances located at the north and west ends of the MFCC. Queues will be air-conditioned and free goodies will be given out while you wait.
Make sure you have your ticket handy either as a printed copy or by saving the PDF onto your phone. If you haven’t booked your free tickets yet, you can do so here.
3. Clothing
You might be in the AC while queueing, but the rest of the festival is taking place outside, and it’s going to be hot. So make sure your dress light and comfortably to avoid over-heating. Comfortable, closed shoes are suggested since you’re going to be standing up and dancing for a long time.
Make sure you’re drinking water throughout the night to keep yourself hydrated!
4. The Acts
Summer Daze is taking place over five days, but the crux of the festival is happening on the 14th and 15th of August, with two mega concerts featuring the worlds best acts in Electronic Dance Music.
The 14th August will feature Paul Kalkbrenner, Green Velvet, Loco Dice and more. The 15th will feature David Guetta, James Arthur, Tyga, Danny Howard, Alle Farben, Tenishia and a slew of local artists all making an appearance
