Malta Gay Rights Movement (MGRM) has launched a survey to help understand what it’s like to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer youth in Malta’s schools.

The survey is targeted to 13 to 22-year-old LGBTIQ youth and is being done in collaboration with GLSEN and Columbia University.

All the information gathered will help MGRM inform education policymakers and the public about the rights of all students and educators to be treated with respect in their schools.

The survey contains questions about the levels of safety and bias queer youth have experienced during the 2016-2017 school year. A full report of the findings will be published during the next school year and will also be available on the MGRM website.

Are you an LGBTIQ youth? Take the survey here to help improve the situation for others.

Did you have a difficult experience at school? Write to us on [email protected] if you want to share your story.
