‘We Are Part Of Solution, Not The Problem’: The MDA’s Declaration Backfires
The Malta Developers’ Association’s charm offensive is failing spectacularly after their bold declaration that they “are part of the solution, not the problem”.
The sponsored post uploaded to social media has seen over a hundred, mostly negative comments, from people all over the island expressing complete disbelief in the MDA’ statement.
“You are THE problem, the WHOLE problem, and NOTHING BUT the problem,” one Facebook commenter said.
The MDA’s proclamation came just as a protest against the construction industry, which was held outside their headquarters) was drawing to a close.
“You need to fire your PR person. This work is as shoddy as the construction practices around Malta,” another wrote.
A handful of people stood up for the embattled lobby group, arguing that “whoever bad-mouths the MDA has absolutely no idea what its function is and what it does.”
“Many a time it has taken proactive action in favour of the environment, health and safety and industry practises before the authorities. Thumbs up!” he said
