Surprise rainfall might’ve ruined weekend plans last Saturday, but Malta’s set to see more sunshine and warmer temperatures over this week. And while it’s not even summer yet, May has got some beautiful summery weather in store for this week. Here’s the forecast for this week.
It all starts a bit slowly with cloudy and still slightly fresh temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures of 24°C will slowly start climbing across the week, making their way up to just under the typical 30s we’ll soon start seeing over summer.
In fact, as the days become sunnier around Thursday, the highs will be going up to 27 and 28°C. And come the weekend, those temperatures will only get higher.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures of 29°C across the board, perfectly complimented by three very sunny weekend days with high UV indexes of 9.
Even the nights themselves will be relatively warm, sitting at an average of 17°C (which is nearly as warm as mornings were up to a month ago).
Malta will also finally be seeing calmer days as far as the bouts of relatively strong winds which have been hitting the islands go. Wednesday is set to be the windiest day, with Force 4 and 5 northwesterly gusts. However, by the time the weekend arrives, that would’ve gone down to Forces 2 and 3.
