Snack Bars Cannot Deliver After 11pm, Chris Fearne Confirms
Snack bars in Malta cannot deliver after 11pm, Health Minister Chris Fearne confirmed.
Health authorities announced a number of new restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 earlier this week.
Bars were ordered to close from tomorrow until 1st December. Snack bars and kiosks were allowed to remain open, however, they aren’t allowed to sell any type of alcoholic beverage and must close down between 11pm and 5am the following morning.
The new laws have sown a great sense of confusion and unfairness among the industry, with wine bar owners questioning why they are being essentially forced to shut their doors while restaurants are allowed to sell alcohol.
