Latvian Woman Dies After Succumbing To Wounds From Horrific Għajnsielem Car Crash
The Latvian woman left suffering serious injuries following a horrific Għajnsielem crash that left nine people injured has died, the Police have said.
A total of nine people were injured in an accident that happened early on 16th August at 1 am on Triq l-Imġarr, Għajnsielem, Gozo.
Two vehicles collided – a Daihatsu Terios and Jago Jeep.
The Latvian woman, who is 41 and lived in Swieqi, was in the Jago Jeep along with the 43-year-old Norwegian driver who lives in Kerċem, a 47-year-old American man who lives in Rabat, and a 51-year-old German man who lives in Xagħjra.
Five passengers were inside the Daihatsu at the time of the crash – a 36-year-old woman from Nadur as well as a Canadian woman, and three children aged 9, 11, and 14, also from Nadur.
Magistrate Dr Bridget Sultana is leading the inquiry into the incident.
