A resolution supported by 27 Maltese student organisations calling for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat’s resignation has been released ahead of this evening’s fifth Valletta protest.

“Today the Social Policy Commission within KSU voted in favour of a resolution calling for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to shoulder political responsibility and resign. The Commission also calls for an investigation into all public procurement contracts involving Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and Chris Cardona,” KSU said in a statement this evening.

“Furthermore the KSU KPS would like to remark that: Partisan politics should have no place in this call for justice.”

This resolution put forward by KSU was endorsed by the following student organisations:

JEF Malta, MHSA, ASCS, Wolves RFC, ELSA Malta, SACES, USPA, SHS, MMSA, UESA, UBG, SDM, DESA, MIRSA, JCA, ESA, IAESTE, Insite, SCubed, ESO, GUG, The Third Eye, ALLT, TDM 2000 Malta, SPS and MAKE.

The student’s council will be attending tonight’s protest, and earlier posted images of students making placards earlier today.

“KSU will be joining tonight’s protests in Valletta. Our country’s reputation and serenity is at stake.”
