These Are The Final Contestants From The Over 25s Who Made It Over X Factor Malta’s Chair Challenge Finishing Line

Last night, we saw the final category filter through the Six Chair Challenge. These six contestants will go on to represent the Over 25s in two weeks’ time at Alex’s house (and if they aren’t in everyone’s favourite Paceville dive bar for the episode, we might just riot):

1. Paul Cuschieri

The first original song of the night prompted Ray’s comments on the key to life being originality. Alex does still feel that Paul needs to brush up on his vocals, but she wants to see what more he has to offer.

2. Jozi

Jozi stole Francesca Borg’s seat, despite the audience booing Alex’s decision. Jozi’s performance closed the final round of the Six Chair Challenge, but not before a sing-off between her and Borg unfolded.

3. Kersten Graham

Kersten was the only contestant to get the audience involved in his performance last night, tackling Elvis’ Suspicious Minds. Ira could see the stars in his eyes as Alex granted him a safe spot on the fifth chair.

4. Celine Agius

Celine Agius’ unique spin on Amy Winehouse classic Back to Black earned her a spot in Alex’s final roster for the night.

5. Edward Abdilla

Ed took centre-stage with his trust ukulele, dedicating his mashup performance of Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots to his late mother.

6. Chantal Catania

Chantal was the first to steal a chair from an earlier contestant, swiping Michelle’s chances at appearing at the live shows down to nil. Michelle’s reaction to Alex announcing her decision was golden.

Understandably so – everyone has their eyes on the live shows at the moment. This year’s X Factor will see one more live show than the first season, with each category sending through one more contestant to the next stage.

We already know who will be advancing from the previous categories:

  • Boys: Matt Blxck, Kyle Cutajar, Dav. Jr, Giovanni, Karl Schembri, Jurgen Volkov
  • Girls: Jasmine Abela, Gail Attard, Marija Bellia, Destiny Chukunyere, Karin Duff, Justine Shorfid
  • Groups: Bloodline, Chord, F.A.I.T.H, Reign, Sweet Chaos, Yazmin & James

Next week will see Ray’s Boys and Ira’s Girls take to the Judges’ Houses in hopes of securing themselves a coveted spot in the final five live shows.
