WATCH: Techno Legend Carl Cox Recently Played A Set In Ibiza Which Featured A Track Produced By A Maltese DJ
International DJ Carl Cox is no stranger to Malta having performed on the island several times before, including Glitch Festival a couple of weeks ago.
The DJ has been touring all over Europe this summer and recently played a set of Resistance in Ibiza last week with Italian DJ Joseph Capriata. Cox later uploaded the full set on his Facebook which featured Damanuele’s track, Moving Lanes.
“I was playing in Ibiza for the past 3 weeks and, over the last few days, people started messaging me about my track Moving Lanes privately and through my email, ” Dean Demanuele told Lovin Malta.
“It was then that I realised that Carl Cox and Joseph Capriati played the track in Ibiza at Resistance, a couple of days before.”
The video has since accumulated 60k views and over 3k likes on Facebook and has been a source of great exposure for the Maltese DJ to the point that Moving Lanes has become a summer hit in Ibiza.
“It’s an honour to have my music played in such a big event and especially by Carl Cox and Joseph Capriati in Ibiza, in front of thousands of people.”
Demanuele isn’t the only Maltese artist to have his work featured by an international superstar. Earlier this summer, local DJ Edd also had his music sampled by Jamie Jones during a gig in Romania.
Stories like this really showcase the level of quality our local artists have to offer!
