2017 was a great year for Tash Sultana, but it seems like things are about to go stratospheric for the 22-year-old Maltese-Aussie musician in 2018. Sultana will be playing at Coachella, easily one of the most talked-about music festivals in the world.

The lineup announcement was made last night, and has already generated a great deal of hype among international music enthusiasts. Headlining the festival will be superstars The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Eminem, but there’s an endless list of other big artists from different scenes also confirmed. Other highlights include Jamiroquai, HAIM, alt-J, Post Malone and Cardi B.

Even with so many huge names dotting the 2018 Coachella lineup, Tash Sultana was still given a top spot on the list. In fact, Tash is listed just after Danish singer MØ, whose hits took airwaves worldwide by storm for the last couple of years.

The Californian music festival takes place across two weekends in April in the grounds of the Empire Polo Club in Indo. Advance tickets for this year’s edition concluded all the way back in June 2017, but the rest of the tickets go on sale this Friday 5th January.

Coachella 2017 was headlined by Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga, who had replaced Beyoncé after she had announced her pregnancy.

The festival regularly sees around 100,000 attendees, with a slew of celebrities regularly being spotted in the crowd. Whole pages dedicate specific articles to listing the celebrities attending Coachella, with last year seeing Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner, Sophie Turner and the Kardashians among many others.

Tash Sultana’s 2018 already looking very busy, with the 22-year-old also confirmed for the popular Australian music festival Sydney City Limits later next month. This will see her perform alongside the likes of Justice, Beck, Future and Phoenix.
