WIN: Dine Above The Marsamxett Harbour At Malta’s Award Winning Dinner In The Sky

It is scientifically proven that being suspended 40 metres above sea level makes anything you eat taste like magic.

Ok, we’re lying. But at the same time how can you possibly deny that your dining experience wouldn’t be a million times more magical if you were literally floating over the coast of Malta? Let alone when the food is prepared by the legendary Chef Marvin Gauci.

Dinner in the Sky provides an unforgettable experience that treats you to delicious food, stunning views, and memories that will last a lifetime

After taking home a whole load of the Definitive(ly) Good Guide’s top awards back in September, DITS is back for its fourth season, with parties going up every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between now and September.

A seven-course meal complete with all the trimmings and free flowing wine is served to you as you’re seated at a large table, suspended 40 meters up in the air.  This year, DITS is located in Floriana with amazing views of the Marsamxett Harbour. Wash it all down with a cocktail (or two) made by one very charming barman who’ll treat you like royalty in DITS’ very own VIP-like lounge area.

If you really want to spoil yourself, DITS also offers a number of add-ons which can be selected upon booking – from indulgent, premium caviar and oysters to bubbly champagne keeping you buzzed throughout your experience.

And you don’t need to worry if you’re scared of heights

We won’t lie, it is pretty high up. But you’ll soon find yourself so busy freaking out over the amazing food that won’t even have time to think about it. And let’s be honest, the free-flowing wine helps a bit too.

You also don’t need to worry about going to the bathroom. The whole thing lasts an hour and a half, and once again, you’ll be distracted by the food and the views and probably won’t even realise your bladder getting full. But in an emergency, they’ll lower the table back down in no time.

While you’re up in the sky you’ll be strapped in like a fighter pilot, only with mega-comfy chairs. So you’re kept safe, fed, and comfortable the whole time. And Chef Marvin is quite the character, so you’ll definitely be kept entertained.

The location of DITS gives you a front row seat to Malta’s beautiful sunsets

And if you’re lucky, you’ll even catch our iconic fireworks from the most unique vantage point. In fact, DITS has such a beautiful setting that it’s also served a platform for several marriage proposals – which is pretty cute. We’re definitely ditzy over DITS.

‘Flights’ take place between 7:00pm and 8:30pm, and 9:30pm and 11:00pm every weekend between Friday and Sunday. Customers are kindly requested to check-in on site at least half an hour before flight time in order to be ready for take-off at the scheduled time.
