6 Things That Will Make You Look Forward To Summer In Malta
It is almost that time of the year again! As we live on a beautiful Mediterranean island surrounded by sea, we will not accept anything less than entire enthusiasm for the upcoming summer months.
And with only a couple of months to go (or weeks, the way this heat is already ramping up), here are some things we absolutely can’t wait for this summer in Malta.
1. The beaches
Having some of the most beautiful beaches ever casually scattered all over the island, we are spoilt for choice every time we decide to leave our house, and go swim.
Pack your sun block and sunglasses, lay your towel down on that golden sand, and enjoy your day in the sun. You’ve earned it.
2. Ice cream
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!
There’s just something so right about having the sun beat down on your, while you slurp your Ice-cream.
Corentto, Solaro, Calippo, and Magnum… just saying the names is enough to get us salivating.
3. Clubbing
The party events in summer just keep getting better and better.
With more events than ever, drinking and dancing in the sun is almost a must. The influx of tourists propel the clubbing scenes in Malta to great heights. With the evening weather perfect for people to chill and enjoy good music and vibes, there’s no reason to be inside on any day of the week.
Add an endless list of huge summer festivals to the list, and you’ve got your hands on a partying mecca.
4. The heat
After a dull, gloomy, cold(ish) winter, heat is the thing we miss the most.
Naturally acclimatised to the heat, its where we excel the most. Being able to sit down all day in the heat, tan up and take a dip in a pool or the sea, is always the icing on the cake.
5. Isle of MTV
It comes once a year, and it’s always a great party.
Bringing along some of the biggest names in the music industry, along with an international DJ… and that group with that one good song.
It’s no surprise that thousands of people brace the heat, and go absolutely wild until midnight when the music MUST BE SWITCHED OFF.
6. Less working hours
This one is for you lucky bastards that get a few hours shaved off during the summer months.
You’ve got it good, so be sure to make the most of it. Get out, go for a swim, and have some fun.
What are you looking forward to the most this summer?
